Getting and setting Long War up is a bit involved (eg, you need to switch off auto-updates or the mod's changes will get overwritten) and you can't play vanilla while the mod is installed (seems XCOM really wasn't designed to be modded, which makes the changes they've managed to make all the more impressive!), but it's worth the effort IMO. It's certainly revitalised my interest in XCOM. I've seen lots of discussion of this mod elsewhere, but not noticed any here.
